How "hot" you are?

You know, "hot food" in Japanese and "hot food" in Thai is different. In Japan, there are several hot and spicy food that you can have. For example

Indian Curry
Korean Kimchi
Chinese Tan-tan noodle

These are very common "hot food" for them. For us (Thai people), it is only for children to eat. I was trying to figured out what is really Japanese "hot", I got wasabi and it is still hot for Thai to have. Hot food from all over the world hurt your mouth in different place. From my experience, I got ...

Indian curry, it hurts my inner palete.
Wasabi, my nose and all nasal route.
Thai chili, really hurts my tongue
Kimchi, it goes all over my mouth. I don't feel any deliciousness from Kimchi (may be I don't like salty+hot combination)

Why Thais are having hot food?
Ans: I think that we are living in hot (actually, very very hot) climate. All fresh food such as meat or fish can not stay fresh as it like in the fridge. It may got smell, or get spoiled very easily. To fix this prob., it is reasonable to use herbs and chili to make all smell gone and to make your stomach stronger in an indirect way.

Hardly to believe, but it's true. Some western people or Japanese may get diarrhea easily. Because the food they are having in their country are very fresh and germs free (of course, they are 1st and 2nd world country, we are 3rd).

In sum, I think that we have to choose what to eat (in order not to get sick) but in Japan, everything are eatable. And "eatable" doesn't mean it "delicious" .

Snow and Red leaves

Can you believe!! snow in Autumn!!

it's true, check it out on my picasa. It was one of the hardest trip in my life. I think I got a cold yesterday after back from Nikko. I feel that it wasn't that bad coz I got a lot of great picture from there. Pretty nice isn't it 2 trips in the same month. It is hard especially for Japanese to do a multiple trip within a month.

Note: Nikko is one of the famous tourist spot in Japan since temples there are titled as the world heritage. There are also lake and waterfalls.

Kanzai Conference

I uploaded new photos for you folks, check it out on Picasa.

For me, I like Kyoto and Kansai prefecture more than this crowded Tokyo. People still have a choice to live, countryside, cultural town or in high rise building area in Osaka. In Tokyo, you may see only buildings and road and agains and again, so boring. But who knows!, if I live in suberb I may miss this crummy place.

Experiencing Windows Vista (RC1 test version)

After I installed Windows Vista RC1, there are a lot of new experience to share, I will keep update by time. The installation was done on Dell XPS, Pentium 4 3.8 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD (40 GB partitioned for Vista)

Installation
1. Vista RC1 have to be installed in Primary Partition and can be separated from the earlier version
2. The Version I have installed is Vista RC1, it is equal to Vista-Ultimate version that will be out to the market next year.
3. This RC1 will be out of date June 2007 (or probably, July).
4. Vista RC1 itself consumed 10 - 11 GB of hard disk space (not yet include another program)
5. Installation is quite easy to do, less setting than XP
6. It takes 2-3 hours to install all the components
7. Multiple boot can be set from the control panel in Vista (The system will not use the boot setting from XP)

User Interface
1. The aero "transparent" interface look pretty good.
2. There is a 3D desktop button beside the earlier "Show Desktop" in the quick launch area. It will arranged all windows into 3D forms (include Desktop). It can be toggled using mouse scroll or up-down arrow. (Hope that there will be more button to access this screen)
3. At the right side of the screen, there is a clear panel for gadgets. You can choose calendar, weather forecast, I think there will be more funny gadgets coming out soon.
4. The one I personally like is the photo shuffler on the gadget panel, it will randomly show a picture from set directory.
5. I just found that you can download the multi language patch to transform all captions into the other language (Also French, Spanish ... etc), I have installed the Japanese one and it can be set from control panel, hopefully we can set it by accont, not all accounts

Personal Comment
1. New screen and tricks look great
2. Slow boot up and sometime come with blue screen!!
3. Annoying privilege confirmation with always come up with black "blink" screen

I will keep update what I found later

New Food Experiment

I dont know why there is so strong winds today. My day begun 10:20, so far, it was a second lazy day for this week. I just realize that people who live here are so tough. They have pressure from work, and even from nature (winds, rains, snow). I just ask my Ecuardor friend, do you have any of this in your contry, he said, probably not.

It just went out that, today we have Kimchi, red onion, muchroom and cans of tomato paste. Finally, we decide to make a pasta. Pasta with all left over from the fridge. It come out to be not really pleasantable (you know, limited ingredient and knowledge). It was so crummy (I learnt this word from a class, still don't know how to use it) I better do it my way, next time.

Hello everybody, just been a day long so that I can end up putting this on. For myself, this blogger really fast. May be the google's guy are so brilliant that they know what I want. I m also using picasa, just click it out from the link [picasa] somewhere in this page. I am going back lah (this "lah" come from my malaysian friend, it sounds like Thai and I stuck with it these days). Hope I can hear any sound from the abyss (I mean err... some comment from you)
